Chatty Bench
Have you visited the Chatty Bench near the library and Sainsbury’s in Tadley? Officially opened in June 2025, the Chatty Bench is a Tadley Men’s Shed project aimed at encouraging communication, understanding and friendship, and combating isolation and loneliness within our community.

Wheel of Fortune
Requested by the PTA of a local primary school for their summer fete, this project was a joy to undertake – simple, lots of creative freedom, and a very satisfying end result!

Mini Bug Hotel

Bird Box
Making bird boxes is a classic beginner’s woodworking project, and there are so many designs and options that it is very easy and satisfying to end up with a truly unique product. The design shown here is taken from the RSPB website, click the link to go there for detailed instructions!

Planter
Another simple and satisfying beginner’s project, old pallets are a staple of Men’s Sheds all over the country. Dismantling them is part of the fun, and it doesn’t matter at all if you forget to ‘measure twice, cut once’!

Welly Puller
Almost as simple a project as they come, and a gentle introduction to things like selecting wood, measuring and marking out, tool selection and planning, and simple methods of fixing two pieces of wood together.
