The October Social Evening was held at the Aldermaston RecSoc. Shedders and guests played several games of Skittles and enjoyed drinks and food from the bar.
Lacking knowledge of the rules for Skittles we split into 2 teams of 6 with Bryan and Brian as captains choosing their respective team members. After a quick practice round we decided on simple rules. Basically 3 balls a go and any pins knocked down counted! Bryan, competitive as ever, started the evening with a thunderous bowl that took 5 pins down in one go. We managed to get 4 rounds in before our food turned up (thanks to the RecSoc team for taking our pre-order the day before). Once we enjoyed our meals we completed the last round. Team Bryan were the winners with 124 points followed by Team Brian with 106 points. I’m sure we will hold a rematch sometime in the future.
