Tadley Men’s Shed entered this year’s Burghfield Box Kart Bash held on Sunday 21st June 2026. Michael Leach was our volunteer driver with Paul Gross and Derek Townshend as pushers.
The TMS Kart, donated by Buckleberry Farm Park, was styled on a No. 4 Hand Plane and the bodywork design was created by Tony Biggs from Celotex board and yellow tape. Many of our shedders assisted throughout the project build stage and with sourcing various materials and items from angle iron, nuts & bolts to new tyres, paint and helmet.
Testing was limited to a short downhill run to test that the brakes worked as intended, which they did.
