We love a treasure box of donated tools or materials, the potential they hold is a wonderful thing to behold. Often, much as it pains us, we aren’t able to make space in the Shed to keep them long-term. When this happens, we have a formal Donations procedure that has been agreed by the committee. Broadly, the decision flow is as follows:
- Donation accepted
- Can it become part of the Shed’s long-term inventory?
- Can it be loaned/given to a Shed member?
- Do any other Sheds want it?
- Can we find another local/national/international home for it?
- Send for recycling/waste management
